INTERNATIONAL VICTORY BIBLE INSTITUTE In May 2008, Jerry made a trip to Port-au-Prince to speak at the 11th annual I.V.B.I. graduation, and to take in much needed items for Marlaine's orphanage. He met with our dear friend, Daniel Vallon who is our friend, interpreter, and bodyguard. Daniel has faithfully worked with us for the past 11 years. Daniel was raised in an orphanage that was run by American missionaries so he has a good grasp of our language and is able to relay our messages to the nationals.

Pastor Ramone has also established two extension schools under the Barahona school.

Jerry's trip to the Dominican Republic in 2005 had a multiple purpose. He met with the Pastor's Associations in La Ramona and San Tiago. He also met with the directors of our I.V.B.I. in Barahona, and San Juan. He then went on to met with Pastor Santiago Ponciano in Santo Domingo to make plans for a new I.V.B.I. to start in January 2007. Pastor Ponciano's church has over 700 members and his facility will hold up to 400 students.
Jerry (center) with Gunter and Aleene at the San Juan Graduation Nov 2006. The trip he made in the fall of 2006 was to attend the graduations and to meet with the Alumni to get a report on what they were doing since they had graduated as well as encourage them to do outreaches and crusades.
Graduations are very exciting for the students as well as for the teachers.
We love and appreciate them for all they have done for us and for the Lord. |

The students are pictured below during Praise and Worship. They are eager to do mini crusades and to go out and Evangelize their country.
Jerry was the speaker at the 10th graduation of the I.V.B.I. in Port-au-Prince. He also met with several of the graduates who are doing outreaches and who want to help teach in the new I.V.B.I. starting in Haiti.
Jerry will return again to Haiti and to the Dominican Republic this summer of 2008 to attend the graduations and to teach the students and graduates how to do outreaches and crusades.
We wish to thank all of you who pray for us and support us in every way that you do. Without you partnering with us, none of these things would be accomplished. |
THE VILLAGE VISION PROJECTS Jerry is now working with an Evangelist Minister who does the "Village Vision" outreach projects supplying these sound systems for pastors in different countries. We teach them to hold mini crusades and win their country to the Lord. This system will reach about 3,000 people using both speakers. They are averaging about 100 salvations per month doing the mini crusades. We hope to be able to supply all the present schools under our care with a complete system. Each system retails for around $1,500.00.
Jerry took a sound system with him to Haiti to leave with Pastor Daniel for his church and for the teens to evangelize with. If you would like to donate a system to a designated school, we would appreciate it. All donations are tax deductible. Please make your checks out to Schmidt International Ministries and write in the memo where you would like the system to go. Our ministry address is: Schmidt International Ministries P.O. Box 386 Anthony, FL 32617 Thank you, Jerry & Linda God Bless You! |
