Topic: legalize and tax marijuana

Legalizing and taxing marijuana would give the USA (both state and federal governments) a much needed boost towards solving the problem of a lack of money needed to run all the things taxpayers are being asked to fund. Regulate and tax marijuana just like cigarettes and alcohol. This would create a very big savings on the cost of trying to stop the use of marijuana (police busts, court costs, jail costs, and loads of propaganda expense). Marijuana sales generate a lot of money in this country. Wouldn't it be nice to see a portion of that money spent on improving the economy, instead of trying to stop the usage of marijuana (to no avail)? Prohibition just doesn't work. Stop the war against pot, and we will stop wasting valuable resources.
